Scott McNaughton, founder, and owner of SMDGI has a lifetime of experience in real estate. His most recent activities include experience across the residential and commercial segments of real estate as a Developer of new properties, a commercial and residential General Contractor, a Broker, and as an Owner of numerous multifamily properties in the Chicagoland Area.

Prior to founding SMDGI, Scott graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. As a construction manager for James McNaughton Builders, Inc., Scott managed the construction of over 30 homes ranging from quaint bungalows in Chicago’s McKinley Park neighborhood to multimillion-dollar estate homes in Chicago’s western suburbs. Scott is currently coowner of Tartan Builders, Inc., a residential real estate development firm that he started with his brother in 2012.
